Highland Perthshire Plus is supporting people with additional support needs (ASN) and/or disabilities and their families to enable them to live and thrive in Highland Perthshire.

Disability
Sports
We work in conjunction with Perth and Kinross Disability Sport to provide sporting activities for all. These are all free to attend. Swimming – Tuesday 6.30-7.30pm, Breadalbane Campus Boccia – Wednesday 6.15-7.15pm Breadalbane Campus. Football, Breadalbane Campus. Trial blocks of sporting activities are on offer throughout the year, including canoeing, bowling, tennis, multi-sports
The Giant’s
Kitchen
Alongside a parent/carer, participants cook together. This is held once a month in Aberfeldy Town Hall. Throughout the year outings and social activities are organised, such as trips to the beach and theatre.
Junior
Activity Club
A new stay and play activity club for children (0-7yrs) in the Highland Perthshire area with additional support needs. Junior Activity Club 0-7yrs Fridays 3.45- 4.45pm, Aberfeldy Town hall A safe environment for children to play and explore various toys, games and sensory regulating equipment. Special sessions with local practitioners in yoga, music therapy and rugby/ball skills. An opportunity for parents/carers to connect with each other over a cuppa and a biscuit.
The Supportive
Volunteering Project
We aim to give adults with additional support needs the opportunity to fulfil their individual potential and goals in supported volunteering settings, within their local community. This is a 3 year pilot project, operating 2 days a week, year-round in Aberfeldy. It will include a community café run by supported volunteers from across Highland Perthshire. We will be gardening at our hub based at Dalweem and providing other purposeful activities. Working in partnership with Birks cinema cafe and Aberfeldy church of Scotland premises.

OUR AIMS
Our aim is to help people with ASN and disabilities and their families by: - Providing social opportunities. - Supporting the provision of suitable housing. - Providing adult day opportunities. - Supporting volunteering, work and training opportunities. - Sharing information and support. - Working with other organisations, groups and schools.
